Hikmet Balci, Founder of Yapi Kur Construction Company, was born in Rize - Çayeli in 1945. He started his business with Copper Trade in 1960. He became a member of Rize Industry Foundation in 1963. During 1963 - 1965 he continued his business supplied Leva Copper to the copper producers between Rize and Hopa. After he had completed his military service obligation between the years 1965 - 1967, he continued his business life as a construction contractor in Istanbul by the year 1967.

In 1972 he has founded his first company Yapi Kur Construction Collective Company. By the year 1993 the company name has been revised as Yapi Kur Construction Import & Export Limited Company. General Management Office is at the same address for 35 years; Barbaros Bulvari Abbasaga sok. N:16 Besiktas - Istanbul - Turkey. Till now from 1967 the constructions that Yapi Kur has built are generally near about Besiktas, Kadiköy and Sariyer. The last construction that Yapi Kur has built is at Bostanci (YAPIKUR PLAZA - RESIDENCE) and this project comprises 52 high quality apartments built on a 3600 m2 area. Although there is a deep ecenomical crisis in Turkey, ¼ of these apartments are sold and sales are going on in spite of this crisis. In addition there is an ongoing Business Center Project at Ortaköy Çiragan Street.

Although, ongoing economical crisis in Turkey had a deep stationary and stagnant effect on contruction sector since 1996, Yapi Kur Company is continuing to take public improvements for her estates.
